Manitone

The Manitone Is a glove Mounted pickup for steel stringed instruments
There are two components to the glove. The strap that goes around the palm
of the hand, The pickup is attached to this strap on a mount just below the thumb
The second Strap which goes around the wrist holds the 3/4 inch jack socket to which
you attach the lead going to your amplifier. The two straps are connected by a
flexible cable which joins the the pickup to the jack socket.


There are many dynamic effects which can be uncovered by the use of the Manitone.
The mount on which the pickup is mounted is adjustable by twisting the pickup.
The shape, tone and quality of the sound also the ease and comfort of use
can be modified by fine tuning the angle of the pickup to your palm.

The strap length and fixing is achieved by Velcro sewn to the leather of the straps.
This makes it possible for one size of glove to fit many different sizes of hand and writs
There is an option for small or large gloves as well so as not to make those with small hands
carry extra bulk on their hands. And those with large hands not struggle with restricted
freedom of movement.

There is a copper wire seam sewn in into the palm strap of the Manitone.This copper seam is also
connected to the ground of the pickup.This seam maintains a conductive contact between the pickup
and the users skin, which in turn keeps the pickup grounded and helps to alleviate unwanted noise
and hum

There is one price for both small and large Manitones as they both require the same amount of time
to build and a very similar amount of resources.
